Carpenter would make another visit on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in January 2022 to make the “Fast Times” album’s second single announcement.

Carpenter announced on July 1, 2022, that the title of her fifth studio album, “Emails I Can’t Send,” will be released just two weeks later, on July 15, 2022. On July 1, 2022, the third song from the album, “Vicious,” was also made available.

Carpenter revealed in November 2022 that “Nonsense,” a song from the album, will be the fifth single, with the music video dropping on November 10, 2022.

Carpenter launched the Emails I Can’t Mail Tour in August 2022 to promote her record; the first leg of the tour kicked up in the following October.

A second leg for North America was announced in December 2022 and scheduled for the spring of 2023. Carpenter announced a European leg of the tour in January 2022, with the date for that leg being June 2023.
