Can you believe it? These cookies only have 3 ingredients and no sugar! The banana gives the cookies their added sweetness.

  • Oats - also known as instant oats, are a popular breakfast option due to their convenience and quick preparation time. These oats are partially cooked, dried, and rolled thinner than traditional oats, allowing them to cook faster.
  • Ripe Bananas - Do you have 3 over ripe bananas sitting on your kitchen counter at home? Makes these cookies. There is no sugar in these cookies and the banana serves at the sweetener.
  • Raisins or chocolate chips will both work for these cookies. I've seen lots of different oatmeal cookies with chocolate chips.

Tips for making Oatmeal Banana Cookies

Cooking scoop for even cookies. Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Flatten the dough slightly with the back of the spoon as these cookies won't spread much while baking.

Add in Ideas: Some other options to add to these cookies would be almond butter, peanut butter, sunflower seed butter, maple syrup, walnuts, honey, chia seeds, flaxseeds. Also tried dried fruit such as craisins.

Bake them until golden brown and let them cool on a wire rack. Enjoy these soft and chewy oatmeal banana cookies as a delightful treat or snack. Remember to store any leftovers in an airtight container to keep them fresh for longer.

The cookies will not spread during baking because they don't have any butter, baking powder, or baking soda in them. You might have to shape them how you like them or use a cookie scoop.

How to store cookies: Always store leftovers in clean, food-grade containers. The type of container doesn’t really matter. Use zip lock, glass, plastic, whatever! Make sure to store any leftovers in an airtight container. To store in freezer use ziplock bags.

How are they .5 points with the frozen cranberries? I'm still getting 1 point in the recipe builder.

I used fresh frozen cranberries instead of raisins (yuck) and put some cinnamon in them and they are only 0.54 points for each cookie! <3
